Overview

GeoStock is an embedded Shopify app that helps merchants manage country-to-location mapping and storefront stock checks. This policy explains how the app handles merchant data and support requests.

Data processed by the app

The app processes only the store data required to provide its features, including product and variant details, inventory/location data, shop session records, and country-location mapping.

How data is used

Data is used to authenticate merchants, display app screens, save merchant-selected settings and evaluate country-based stock availability through the app proxy endpoint.

Data sharing and selling

GeoStock does not sell merchant or customer data. Data is shared only with infrastructure providers required to host, secure, and operate the app.

Retention and deletion

Store-specific app data is retained only as needed to operate and support the app. When a merchant uninstalls the app, the uninstall webhook removes shop-scoped app records. Additional privacy or deletion requests can be sent to support.

Security

The app uses Shopify OAuth, Shopify webhook authentication, scoped API access, and server-side session storage. Access scopes are limited to the features provided by the app.

Merchant responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for reviewing country-to-location mappings before using them on the storefront and for maintaining secure access to their Shopify admin and staff accounts.
